Cheapest way to convert a gasoline engine to liquid propane/compressed natural gas?

I have a 1987 GMC 1/2 ton 4x4 5.7L TBI that gets about 13 mpg. I am wanting to convert to bi fuel so that i can use the cheaper fuel when available and gasoline when it isn't. I am looking for the cheapest way to do so(cheap without sacrificing safety/reliability).

There is no way to do a backyard conversion, you need to have the conversion to dual fuel has to be done by a professional shop, Your computer needs to be reprogrammed to run dual fuel,and you will find that going with cng will not really give you any
